I do not usually make pie. I just don't have time for it. One night I decided to take the hard part out and just buy the pastry frozen and then make up the inside of the pie. If you love pie or want to be inspired to make pie, you should check out my friends pie blog, My Piary. Not only are her pies delicious, but she also has a great pie crust recipe if you want to make it yourself!

stuff ready to be pie |
1/2 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
5 sliced pears, not pealed
2 tablespoon melted butter
juice from one lemon
I used frozen pie dough, but you could make your own.

pears taking a sugar and other yummy stuff bath |
Mix everything but the pears in a large bowl. Then add the pears. Mix so that each pear is covered in yummy goodness. I used my hands.

all tucked in |
Place one pie pastry down in a pie plate. Add pear goodness. Top with second pie crust. I am not a pie maker, so my crust wasn't very pretty. I did try to close the pears in with the pastry dough. I baked it at 375 for 45 minutes.

I have a thing for dirty dishes. |
I don't know why, but I love dirty dishes. They just mean I am one step closer to eating. You might see them here now and again.
